Berry Bros & Rudd Ardmore 13 Year Old 2008 Caroni Finish

Highland single malt distilled in 2008 and finished in casks that previously held the legendary Caroni rum (Trinidad). Bottled in single cask at 57.2% vol., it adds firm Ardmore peat to the signature "Caroni" of petroleum and mineral notes. Smoke and soot emerge on the nose with fresh fruit; the palate is dry and vigorous, with pineapple and mirabelle plum, vanilla, hints of anise and menthol, oily peat with a saline undertone, and a long finish with acacia honey and herbal infusions (thyme, lemon verbena, sage). A bottling with character, intense and very expressive.
