Barca Velha Red 2011

Created in 1952 by Fernando Nicolau de Almeida, Barca Velha is considered Portugal's most emblematic wine and a true icon of the Douro. Produced only in years of exceptional quality, it represents the highest expression of Casa Ferreirinha and is a symbol of tradition, rigor, and international prestige. Its deep and intense ruby ​​color reveals great complexity on the nose, with notes of ripe black fruits, spices, tobacco, and light balsamic nuances, all very well integrated. On the palate, it presents a firm and elegant structure, polished tannins, and remarkable freshness, culminating in a long, harmonious, and persistent finish.
