Château Batailley Pauillac 2016

Deep garnet color. Classic Pauillac nose with cassis and blackcurrant, notes of cedar/cigar box, pencil, and a light touch of spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a silky texture, fine tannins, and a firm structure, supported by well-integrated freshness; it finishes long and elegant. The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (c. 85%), complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot; aged in French oak barrels with a high proportion of new wood.
