Lagavulin 8 Years

This Islay single malt was created to celebrate the distillery's 200th anniversary and is now a permanent part of the line. The nose is austere and elegant, with dry peat, fireplace smoke, and sea air, citrus fruits (lemon), black tea, and a light touch of vanilla. On the palate, it's firm and vibrant, drier than the 16, with black pepper, charcoal, toasted barley, and a touch of cocoa. The finish is long, very smoky, and saline, with notes of ash and lemon zest.
