Nikka Miyagikyo Bourbon Wood Finish 2018

A limited edition released in 2018, with Miyagikyo's single malt aged for a year in ex-bourbon casks—a version created for the European market. In the glass, it displays a fresh and very fruity profile: on the nose, stone and orchard fruits emerge with vanilla and cinnamon; on the palate, it reveals candied pear and white peach, notes of vanilla and licorice, a light touch of saline, and well-integrated spice; the finish is clean and long, with echoes of wild berries and a hint of citrus.
