Octomore 12.1

A super-peaty Islay single malt, the "base" edition of the 12-series, with 130.8 ppm peat and five years of maturation exclusively in American whisky casks, enhancing the purity of the malt and the vanilla sweetness. The nose combines intense smoke and sea air with citrus fruits and hints of vanilla/fudge. The palate is oily and powerful, with earthy and saline peat, notes of caramel and chocolate, black pepper, and grapefruit, finishing very long, dry, and savory.
