The Balvenie 12 Years Double Wood

Speyside single malt matured in two types of wood: first in American ex-bourbon oak and then finished in European oak casks that contained sherry, which deepens complexity and richness. The nose highlights honey and vanilla with sweet fruit and hints of dried fruit. The palate is silky and enveloping, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a delicate layer of sherry; the finish is long and inviting, very balanced.
